аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ offers a high quality education close to home — then once you earn your associate degree you can transfer to the college or university of your choice to complete a bachelor's degree (or stay right here at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ as a junior in our bachelor programs).

The general Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree is the best choice to transfer directly into most bachelor programs. However, our Associate in Science degrees also provide transfer options through state articulation agreements for select A.S. programs or directly into аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼'s Bachelor of Applied Science degrees and our online RN to BSN degree.

Work with your academic advisor at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ and the school where you plan to transfer — this ensures that your associate degree coursework best prepares you to transfer into your intended upper division program.

Eastern Florida has a collection of articulation agreements in place, the formal documents that spell out the transfer process after getting an аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ degree. , the state's online college advising and records system and a service of the Florida Virtual Campus, also provides invaluable resources on your transfer rights.

аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ now offers 28 bachelor degree specializations in high-demand career fields. Explore the Bachelor's Degree options that provide a lower-cost option to earn the higher degree often needed for career advancement.

DirectConnect to UCF

аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ partners with the University of Central Florida to offer DirectConnect to UCF, which provides guaranteed entry* to UCF for Eastern Florida A.A. graduates and articulated A.S. degrees. (*Consistent with university policy. Limited- and restricted-access UCF programs may require an additional admission process and prerequisites).

Also ask about the agreement that can put аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ A.A. degree students on course for automatic acceptance into nine engineering tracks within UCF’s College of Engineering and Computer Science and the agreement that can connect A.A. grads with UCF education-related bachelor programs.

Florida Tech Track

Florida Institute of Technology is a top-ranked national research university located in Melbourne, FL just a short drive from all of аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼’s campuses.

The university’s  is a dual-admission program designed to help Florida high school graduates pursue an Associate in Arts degree from аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ followed directly by a bachelor’s degree at Florida Tech. This program is open to all majors, and  up to Florida Tech’s full tuition are available to students who qualify.

An agreement also gives students in аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼’s Organizational Management Bachelor of Applied Science program a path into Florida Tech’s  when they reach senior level and maintain a 3.3 GPA.

Florida Tech encourages all аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ students who plan to continue their studies as a transfer student to contact our , , and .

To ease the process for transfers from аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼, Florida Tech’s  are based on the аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ common course numbering system.

Florida Public Universities

Students who complete their Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree here at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ are guaranteed admission to a state of Florida public university under what's referred to as the 2+2 system. Students can apply to earn a bachelor’s degree from one of . Acceptance at a student's specific first-choice university bachelor program is not guaranteed as each program within Florida's universities have their own acceptance requirements.

Transfer or earned by students during their freshman and sophomore years at Florida colleges such as аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼, so you will be able to transfer to a Florida public university.

Be sure to review the catalog of the university you're interested in and check with its admissions team to be sure you will meet its requirements.

Students interested in transferring to Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) should visit that state university's  as soon as possible while an аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ A.A. student so they can receive customized FAMU advising. They can also sign up for , available to students before they have earned 30 credits at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼.

Florida Private Universities

Through statewide agreements, once you've earned your A.A. degree,  protect your credits earned at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ so you can continue your education at articulated private institutions.

Out-of-State Programs

Since аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ is regionally accredited, most courses will transfer to colleges and universities across the United States. As you plan your next steps, check the admission's guidelines at the institution you're interested in and follow their process for transfer students.

The DirectConnect to UCF Advantage

Victoria Godwin earned her Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree at аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ and her bachelor's at the University of Central Florida through the popular DirectConnect to UCF program.

She benefited from an аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Foundation scholarship toward her A.A. and was even able to take some of her bachelor-level education courses at the UCF Regional Campus location on Eastern Florida's Cocoa Campus.
